All proceeds from the triathlon will go to 500 miles

 

500 miles supports the development and delivery of prosthetic and orthotic services in Malawi and Zambia.  We help people who have lost limbs or the use of limbs to enjoy maximum mobility and body function by helping them to get access to and afford artificial limbs (prostheses) and supports for limbs (orthoses).  In addition, in order to leave a legacy for future generations, 500 miles also establishes and supports the centres which manufacture and prescribe these devices and we sponsor the training of local people to international standards to work in them. Our aim for Malawi is that all who need and can use a prosthetic or orthotic device to improve their quality of life, will have that chance. Read more about 500 miles and our latest newsletter at www.500miles.co.uk
